But why its just for children now. I have seen our grand parents used to be excited and happy on Eid, but our generation and a generation before us somehow lost the excitement and sense of happiness. I’ve heard many people saying its a boring day (more boring than a usual holiday)

yes , grandparents still get excited abt it , but then oldage is another childhood isn’t it.
Yes , its actually a lot more boring than a usual holiday.
By the time eid morning comes , you are so dead tired doing eid k tayyari that you don’t even feel like dressing up for eid.The tired you has to then get up and serve guests n all and you wish for the day to end.
