With all the controversy took place in this week and every one had a chance to take out their anger and scold anyone who they didn’t like. So was the case for Shahar Yaar Khan. I think most of the people think he is not competent to be the chairman of PCB.
A lot of people suggest Imran should step in and he should at least try to help. But know Khan Sahib I doubt he would even think about that.
I was thinking now since Ehsan Mani is not longer ICC president wouldn’t it be idle to have him as chairman of PCB. I think he would be the right person for this job but I am not sure if he can be PCB chairman after being President of ICC
I dont think so Mani will be the right choice, since he reside in england, and he does not understand the nitty gritty of Pakistan's domestic cricket, maybe he has an idea but thats all.
I wont go this far and say Uncle Sherry is incompetent but there are various better ways that things could have been managed. if I have to pick cricketers name(s) I'd say bring back Intikhab Alam, Majid Khan, Iqbal Qasim, if possible draw Mushtaq Ahmed with hefty $$$ and Saeed Anwar and couple of top dawg of Management figures in Pakistan.
The managment of the board does not need to be run by top ex-cricketers so Ehsan Mani would be a very good choice. He doesnt need to know nitty gritty of Pakistan cricket or domestic cricket. If he can manage the place well and leave others to do their job that is all anyone can ask for from PCB chairman. The chairman does not have to be doing any and all jobs he desires, I fail to understand what Shehryar Khan was doing in Pakistan's dressing room at the day of the incident. All it did was made matters more complex. The whole Pakistani teamwas there along with their captain and then we had Woolmer, Zaheer Abbass, Waqar Younis and Shehryar Khan. Zaheer went as the manager of the team, it was his job to do all the talking to the media not the PCB chairman to start taking action about anything and everything and handle the media.
Mani would be a good choice for PCB chairman, the chairman need to run the board free of politics and make sure all key people are doing their job and doing it right.
