Substantial private donations were not aid. By far and wide, the most notable donations came from Saudi, and honourable mention for Turkey. Turks launched the biggest fund raising effort in their modern history.
I see no mention f Kuwait as being the largest contributors of charity.
Hatred of Saudi should not substitute for reality. Geopolitically, Saudis have most invested in Pakistan. I’m not saying this is either good or bad, but reality. And there are certainly benefits to this relationship, such as aid in time of need.
