What are the places one must and should visit if going to Egypt for a tour? 
Should I mention the Pyramids here ?

i dont know iv never been there …but if i where to go there i would definatly visit their traditional bazars and EAT treaditional food…
I always yearn for a visit to Pyramids. Know nothing about non-traditional places. But pyramids and related places, ahhh i will defintely go sooner than later.
The Egyptian Museum in downtown Cairo shouldn't be missed at ANY cost. It sums up everything Egyptian.
Well, although the Nile might not be much to look at in most places in Egypt try to get a boat ride on the Nile no matter how small the trip. Then you can say that you have travelled on the longest river in the world.

Listen it depends, are you just gonna stay in Cairo? If so then you have to visit:
- Khan El-Khalili
- Al-Azhar Mosque
- Mohammad Ali Mosque
- Al-Maqatam
- Travel down the Nile
- Egyptian Museum
- Al-Mathaf Al-Harbi

Everyone speaks English, but knowing Arabic comes in VERY handy. Just remember they can spot a ajnabi from miles away.
Cairo is not every thing in Egypt. Dont miss Luxor (Al-qasar) if u after history of Egypt. For beaches & resorts, visit Sharam-al-Sheikh.
