Saudi and Qatar are not Salafi. They are Wahabi. Salafis and Wahabis are different. And Shias don’t exactly live in peace there, they live with some pretty hefty restrictions, covered by a blanket of media censorship.

I recall reading once how the supporters of a Shia cleric who was arrested in Saudi together with many of his followers were somewhat surprised to find the Saudi press describing his arrest as the successful identification and arrest of a black magic practitioner and his cult!
