In 1989, china too had huge demonstrations, against it’s authoritarian rule. People were demanding more freedom.
China sent in the tanks & soldiers and killed hundreds (thousands?), ever since then there has been peace and prosperity in China.
Chinese people are only given news which the authorites want them to have, all other news is blacked out.
Most Chinese do not even know of the demonstrations in Egypt and else where.
China is a shinning example of how we should treat our population, if they go out line.

Demonstrations and disruption in life should be unacceptable for Nations.
Prosperity and single vision for path to success, is one of the ways to get out of poverty.
Today many nations admire China - but it was hard - crush demonstrations, force people to have one child only, keep the currency low and pay less wages, not allow any unions or strikes, restrict rural people from entering the cities, restrict their knowlege in google or even hear unfavourable international news.
Some people were suggesting in GS, if they too should have Egypt's type of revolution in Pakistan!!
I would say no, since the whole south east Asia region could become unstable. Who knows if the extremists take over.
I would say take the path of China - crush revolutions.

Hmm..can someone here estimate the worth of Chinese president or their PM? How much they have? and are their children being groomed to take over?
