When we reached under Menkaura's Pyramid .. Mohammed asked me to lift my right hand and make a shape of cobra's head with my figures :~) and I was like *eek yeah kia karney ko keh raha hey ?? :~) but when I saw the picture .. I couldn't stop my self appreciating him :~)

On my way Back I spent some time with the mysterious Sphinx aka Abul Haul :~)
The most enigmatic of sculptures.. the Sphinx was carved from a single block of limestone left over in the quarry used to build the Pyramids... scholars believe it was sculpted about 4,600 years ago by the pharaoh Khafre .. whose Pyramid rises directly behind it and whose face may be that represented on the Sphinx :~)

Half human .. half lion.. the Sphinx is 240 feet long and 66 feet high ... badly eroded .. it has undergone numerous restorations over the millennia .. beginning with one conducted about 1400 B.C. by the pharaoh Tuthmosis IV.. who dreamt that the Sphinx asked him to clear the sand around it in return for the crown of Upper and Lower Egypt :~)
The Sphinx has recently undergone a major modern restoration :~)

pheww!!! It was getting dark over there .. and I was also tired of walking and riding camel for a long time :~) .. so I decided to leave and have a nice cup of coffee :~)

Yaar, kaafi dinoN say intezaar tha is post ka. Waqai meN maza agaya. I can't sit and go through page 2 and 3 right now. It's 1:15am and I have to be up by 6:45. But I'll read it in next two days. You detailed information was really good. The pics came out awsome. I can understand you taking so many pics in 20 days. I just bought a camera and took like 250 pics in two days. Quality is not part of the equation here. One question I had in mind when I read your thread that you posted from Egypt (I have yet to go through pages 2 and 3 so I might have missed your mention): Did you visit Luxor? If so, what can you tell us about the place, your feelings, emotions (you know about the incident that took place there few years ago?)

and if you are talking abt the attack at Deir el-Bahari Temple in 1998 .. than I would say .. its all secure now .. Egypt has spent alot on the security .. now you’ll see armed guards everywhere in Egypt :~) so don’t be scared … go head!! … pay a visit!!!

OK!!! Finally I got some time to continue my story again :~)
Now where was I ????? oh yeah!! I came out of GIZA and had a nice cup of Turkish coffee with Saed at a road side restaurant :~)
It was already half past 7 when I reached back hotel .. I apologized for my late checkout at reception and went upstairs to pack my bags .. around 8:00pm once again I was standing outside flamenco hotel .. waiting for Saed .. who went back home to have dinner … wese bhook to mujhey bhi lag rahi thi .. but I planned to have dinner at a nice place :~) .. so bardaasht kar raha tha :~)
I came back in the lobby of flamenco hotel and started reading lonely planet to find some nice places to stay and eat :~) about half an hour later .. Saed came back .. and we were out again searching for a nice and cheap hotel for my next 2 days .. :~)
As I mentioned before .. it was off season in Egypt but due to the Eid vacations half of the Saudi youth has filled all the nice & cheap hotels specially in Cairo :~( Me and Saed spent 1 hour searching for a room in different hotels .. but in vain .. all of them were full .. I got fedup and asked Saed to take me to Cairo Marriott! Saed looked at me and said “Habibi Marriott kateer ghaali .. istana shoya .. ana shuf taani fundooq” ( Translation : dear Marriott is very expensive .. wait a minute I’ll find you a cheaper place to stay ) .. or main phir chup hogaya or woo mujhey eik or hotel ley gaya .. but unfortunately that was also completely occupied :~(
Now it was already 9:00pm .. and I was dieing with hunger :~( so I asked him again to goto Marriott .. this time he doesn’t have any choice .. so we turned back to Zamalek .. where near river Nile theres a huge building of Cairo Marriott Hotel :~)
After being out for the whole day in desert my dress was completely covered with dust .. and when I went Inside Cairo Marriott .. first the security guard gave me a weird look .. than the girl at reception scanned me from top to bottom with her lovely eyes .. and said yes we do have a room .. but its gonna be very expensive .. :~)
Grrrrrrr!!! mere faqeeroon jese kaprey dekh kar wo mujhey koi kangla faqeer hi samajh rahi thi *smash neways aab to izat ka muamla tha .. so I took out my Amex and asked her to book it for 2 days .. she took the card and made a pre-authorization transaction for 2000 EP equals to 400$ once she received the approval .. immediately she said “Welcome to the Cairo Marriott SIR” :~) UKP kaheen ki!!!! .. pheley “Sir” boltey howey osko maut aa rahi thi *smash … neways yea materialized duniya sirf pocket dekh kar hi respect deti hey .. no values left for humanity :~(
This room cost me 112$ per night and thats the mistake I was talking about khanzada bhai .. ke if you take this 250$ out of my tour cost than it won't be very expensive :~)
Neways the room wasn’t bad .. it was at 9th floor and got a nice view of River Nile :~)
Once getting settled down in Marriott .. I took a shower and got ready for going out for Dinner and to see those famous thiraktey sitaarey according to jannu bhai :~) so I called up Saed on his mobile and asked him to pick me up at 10:00pm .. When Saed came .. I asked him to take me to the Nile Cruise where I planned to stay for dinner and the famous belly dance show :~)
Nile Cruise was a ship with 2 floors .. the restaurant was at the ground floor and a private party was going onn at the 1st floor .. I brought my pass for 150EP .. 30$ which includes everything onboard :~) When I went inside the ship I saw two Asian faces there .. an old women and a young bald guy :~) they both were also looking at me .. so I said Hi to them and we started introducing our selves :~)
They both were Pakistanis .. a mother and her doctor son .. traveling all the way from Scotland to RawalPindi .. they got a transit here at Cairo for 2 days .. or yeah Cairo main onka pehla din tha :~) the Doctor was really a jolly person .. so hamdono bohot jald eik dosray sey free hogaye .. otherwise mujhey kisi ke saath free honey main thora waqt lagta hey :~)

Food was normal .. but being hungry I eat a lot .. and than the show started with some Egyptian songs .. and these were the singers :~) and at this moment I was enjoying the delicious Om Ali (Arab Traditional Sweet) :~)

it was amazing .. cuz the guy removed his jacket .. cap .. and doing everything while taking the chakars :~)
AND Finally started the main attraction of the night .. YES!! the Belly Dance :~)

I thought it would be pure bally Dance .. but it wasn’t .. it was more oriental than the original … traditional one :~(

Always keep one thing in mind .. when the dancer drags you up on the floor for dancing with her .. never let any photographer take your pictures .. cuz laters you have to pay a very high price for buying them :~) Since I had this experience in Turkey .. I refused the photographers to take my picture when she dragged me up :~)
Neways .. my forth day in Egypt ended up with this amazing cultural show at Nile Cruise .. after spending 4 hours in this ship .. I took a cab back to the hotel .. and by 2:30am .. I was already in the bed :~)
Qrius : bhatiji!! lakri kahan yaar .. I am already over weight with 6kg *smack actually sardiyoon main mujh sey exercise nahi hoti .. mujhey thand lag jaati hey *crying isi liye I’ve gained some weight .. kiya karoon my body have tendency to store fats .. wese always before traveling I bring my self down to my ideal weight .. magar since this tour was totally unplanned .. mujhey moka hi nahi mila .. or haaan!! fruits to main waqai bohot khata hoon :~) aab kaheen nazar na laga dena ;~)

or kaki sharari main kiyon late hota ?? mujhey khud thori karna tha belly dance ??? :~) mujhey to bas dekhna tha ;~) and why I wanted the original one is because the original belly dance is not so easy .. it has to be only with the lower part of the body .. which is really an art .. not all the artists can perform it very well .. it needs lots n lost of practice .. and thats the reason its soo famous :~) neways thanks for appreciating the pics .. and do visit again for some more :~)
