Egotism is not a cure for insecurity but a psychological ailment when it becomes a daily habit/ritual for some people.

hmmm so it is safe to say that it acts like an anesthetic which numbs your senses, so one does not register the pain (one's short comings in this case).

Xenophobo…Hi …not all the above three posts are similar. I am saying that people who are egotistical on daily basis should be mentally checked because then it’s more than anesthesia for their insecurity.
Syn and blackforest are saying that egotism is the answer for someone’s own shortcoming and it’s their way of coping with it.

Oh and did you see firenze’s post about him calling his ami. Now how is that relevant to this thread? …I am thinking that post should be deleted…what do you think?
