Re: Effects of Load-Shedding/Power Failures in Students life!
no wind farms needed, there are enough mobile wind farms around in ramadan after goofy ppl eat tons of pakoray and channay at iftaar..
placement of a turbine may be a little problematic
Peace X2
During Ramadaan I sometimes wear a 'turbine', best place I find is to wrap it around my head. I'm not sure about other forms of power, but the light in the soul stays shining brightly, don't you think?
Re: Effects of Load-Shedding/Power Failures in Students life!
I remember way back in 2002 during my F.SC there use be load shedding at college and it would affect us so much. Atleast i know it took my attention away from the lecture to thinking how much time is left before we leave college and go 2 home and sleep with Acs on....lol. At home we had the power generator but it would still disturb the process of studying. Atleast for me it did that because any kind of disturbance while studying can take my mind off it and result in a wasted 2-3 hrs till i can go back 2 study. At times when there was no generator than that would mean no studis no nothing and just in a very grumpy mood. It really disturbs the whole schedule u mite have for the day atleast as i did go my planning. So half an hour of no electricity would mean wastage of than half an hour than another half an hour or more to get back to the routine lol cuz usuallly after loadshedding esp at nite one does need 2 shower again.
I remember in the past 4 years in uni whenever there would be loadshedding we would be allowed 2 go home esp cuz being design students we were allowed most of the time to do our work @ home.

That is so true for the humid weather of Karachi even when there is no load-shedding of electricity.
