If ur in the Uk and your child has an allergic reaction and comes out in a rash or spots- Piritin is brilliant- its an anti allergic deflamatory drug- a syrup and really good

I do not know about kids but a good allergy medicine is zyrtec. I have been eating it from a long time now.

Here read this article, it says that it is a good medicine to treat allergies in children.

Docs are tending to be much more careful in prescribing allergy medications lately. My youngest has pollen allergy and his doc said no meds. He sneezes alot but doesnt get asthma or raspy breathing so - no meds.

Allergy symptoms are most commonly sneezing, loose cough, itchy eyes. More severe allergies can also cause raspy breathing and/or asthma.

^ for kids, yes it does. the paed prescribed it for my son when he was 4, he had bad seasonal allergies. he did get a bit woozy (thus cranky) though after taking it so could only give it to him at night. Benadryl is good for a temporary fix, i have heard Claritin is better for kids, little or no side-effects, but since these are all available on prescription (except benadryl) the pediatrician will have more info regarding side-effects.

No Zyrtec is available over the counter sometime they put it inside pharmacy so only ask them they'll give it to you.

hmm so claritin has the new melt in your mouth tablets or whatever..no water needed...dunno how i feel about that..jusst sounds...

Please make sure you see a doctor or that as for wheezing your child needs prescription medicine for emergency or for wheezing alone... like an inhaler .

Don't take the symptom lightly. See an allergist if you can:)
