i had bad acne as a teen. i used retin A for that, some salicylic washes n lotions, antibiotics. for scars i started HQ 2% but ended up using it on whole face so scars didn't really go away.
recently i again had return of acne. this time i went to no derm but used salicylic acid wash2% + 5% benzoyl peroxide gel. the min u see one spot emerging treat it right away is best strategy. it took me a while to clear my face. my scars(brown spots) r still there. i'm using diff things right now so hopefully they'll be fading soon. sunscreen, exfoliation n skin lightners help to get rid of them sooner or later.
