Educational/Professional fiascos = Moral

Re: Educational/Professional fiascos = Moral

Can you post pics? I’d love to see them.

As for me:

  • Back in high school, we had to make a bridge out of those thin wooden sticks to see which bridge holds the most wazan. You bend a little bit and they break. Poocho mat :naraz:, I got stuck with a lazy partner who didn’t do anything. I gave him the prints of the design so he could take it home and do his part while I do mines. Next morning, he came with totally different stuff which was totally useless. With 1 day left, I went back home and worked on the whole thing (from start) all by myself and stayed up till Fajr to finish it. Khair, mehnat rang layi and it turned out good and I got an ‘A’. I had the highest out of the whole school (it held 90+ pounds). BUT I did not get the gift(s) which the school was supposed to give me …Kanjoos kahi ke :asa:
Moral = Better to work alone which I always do than have someone who will not do anything and get the A for free.

*]Back in High School, we had to make the design for next city Sticker for the vehicles (for Chicago). The school would choose like 5-6 best drawings out of the whole school and send the original version. The top 10 out of all the High Schools would be published in the Newspaper. Once it is in the Newspaper, the voting would start and the one with highest votes would win. The winner would get $1000 gift balance and have his/her design as the next city sticker. Khair, I once helped out my friend in her sticker and she had hers published in the newspaper. She won 2nd place and got $500 certificate. The next year I decided to take part in it too. So I started on this ahead of time. I worked on it for several days and even stayed up late on the last night to finish it. The teacher already knew I was going to come up with something good and another art teacher (who also was the teacher of my friend who had won 2nd place the previous year) was impressed too. Khair, my teacher chose my drawing and decided to send it. It so happens that out Mr. Principle did not pay the fee which was supposed to be paid with the stickers so all the chosen drawings remained in the school and did not enter the competition
Moral = Before you attept to do anything like the one I mentioned above, please do ask your principle if will submit the fees :grumpy:
