In yet another shameful act of religious intolerance, Lahore police arrested four members of Ahmadiyya community on charges of blasphemy.
Newspaper hawker Khalid Ashfaq and others were arrested on the complaint of a local cleric for distributing literature that may have objectionable content.
Al-Fazal newspaper is not distributed through mass circulation, but only delivered to its subscribers. Now it seems that Ahmadis cannot even safely distribute their newspaper to their own community members.
For a country where an average person has to go through much hardships to register an FIR for an actual crime, it doesnt take the police much time to register an FIR if its against an Ahmadi for a completely made up crime.
