I edit the first post in the thread, but the title of the thread doesn’t change. Just wanted to say that, and make sure i don’t need to get my eyes checked.
No, it’s not your eyes that need to be checked If in the future you need a title of your thread edited, the best manner to do it is to drop a PM to the Moderator(s) of that Forum requesting them to do so. Usually, as soon as we read the PM, we try to edit the title as soon as possible (time permitting, of course 
).

Thanks for the reply, but it'd be nice if something could be worked out for the originator of the thread to edit their own titles. I, personally, am very picky, and so fear upsetting a mod. But in the future, if it grates my nerves enough, I'll drop a PM. Thanks again!

Well, in all seriousness, Samarra provided you the answer already. Make sure you double-check the thread title before clicking on "Post Now" button. Otherwise, if you really make a big mistake and do need to get it fixed, mods will be happy to help you. Occasional spelling mistakes in the thread titles are fixed by mods even without asking.
I do get my eyes checked every six months, just wondering if I should schedule one now. :) Thanks a lot Faisal Bahi.
