edit

y does the edit button disappear after a little while? :konfused: i don’t see the point of this?

y can’t we edit any of our posts at any desired time :bummer:

Re: edit

I have been telling ppl that after 24 hours of the postage time, our posts become the Qoumi wirsah and asaasah of GUPSHUP bulkaY Qoumi Sarmaayaa :phati: … It’s like expiration of lease after 24 hours…so you need to keep glued yourself for 24 hours to GS:P… you dun belong to your post, thread, forum after the designated time :stuck_out_tongue:

One thing is a paradox for me though.. I am in search of the answer :help:

I want to know that do people read OLD CAFE threads for the purpose of gaining knowledge and finding the “topic” of conversation being gone off-topic if someone really changed it - keeping in mind that you are not allowed to bump your own OLD thread back

Re: edit

MSL - In the past what some people would do is quietly go back and either edit their post and modify stuff or completely remove it. Yes members should be able to do that but guess what, it would confuse someone who may be reading that old thread because original content is not there anymore. Think about images - threads were revived by some confused user with “:konfused:” when pics were removed. New rules are made when more than one person start to follow a new trend. Yes one should be able to edit their typos or add clarification to the post, that’s why the edit button is there for 24 hours. 24 hours are more than enough to re-read your post and correct any mistakes and/or change your stance. Once that’s over, you can no longer edit it and you must PM the forum moderator to edit your post and if the reason is valid/makes sense to the moderator, he/she will edit it for you.

Hope it helps.
