Edgar Degas was a French artist famous for his paintings, sculptures, prints, and drawings. He is especially identified with the subject of dance as more than half of his works depict dancers. From 1870 Degas increasingly painted ballet subjects, partly because they sold well and therefore provided him with needed income after his brother’s debts had left the family bankrupt

hes still alive - but too drunk in the flow of Degas girls dances... Degas was one of the earliest impressionist painters but kept most of the colors palette that were used by old masters...
