Sorry to hear about your loss Shahreen. I hope you get better soon. Insha Allah.

Re: Ectopic pregnancy

Hi Shehreen
sorry to hear that. I hope god keeps u and your family
in good health.

Re: Ectopic pregnancy

Hi Shahreen. Sorry to hear you've been through a rough time.
Thinking of you.

Re: Ectopic pregnancy

Shirin

This is the first time I have heard of doctors being able to covert an ectopic pregnancy into a regular period. Since the embryo is attached to the tube and would not make it if removed, I am very surprised to hear a procedure like this exists. How can they slide it down, the point of attachment is still the tube and not the uterus.

I am frankly having a hard time believing your friend. I have found no information
that this is possible, and none of my doc freinds have heard of a procedure like this being done.

Was information about such a procedure published in any medical journal.

Re: Ectopic pregnancy

sounds awfully painful. hope u feel better soon shahreen.

Re: Ectopic pregnancy

Shirin

any info on this?

Re: Ectopic pregnancy

I would like some more info on the procedure too if possible please Shirin.

Re: Ectopic pregnancy

Wow...I've been away too long.
Shahreen...good to see that you are well and that you are taking this set-back in stride. I would expect nothing less from the gal that I know.
InshaAllah everything will work out and the future will be rosey once more.....

Re: Ectopic pregnancy

Shahreen

I would not hold my breath on this one, have not seen any published study which notes a conversion of an ectopic into a uterine.

Re: Ectopic pregnancy

I have never heard of an ectopic pregnancy being moved...but have heard of a procedure that can help to prevent ectopic pregnancy.

Its called a Histosalpingogram. Iodine-based dye is injected thru the cervix and through the fallopian tubes while an x-ray tech takes images. The test is done to check for blockages in the tubes. A possible benefit of the test is that it seems to open up the fallopian tubes a bit so that either a fertilized egg may have more room to pass down in the uterus. I dont think there have been studies done on this but many infertility specialists have seen patients conceive in the month or two after having this test done.

Re: Ectopic pregnancy

I am sorry for the lost Shaz, at first I didnt quite understand the situation. Recently a work colleague of mines has lost his baby at 2 month's pregnancy and its allways quite disturbing to hear such news, may Allah protect u and ur family. ameen

Re: Ectopic pregnancy

None that I know of Fraudz, I'll try and remember to ask my doctor at my next visit.

Re: Ectopic pregnancy

Salaam shahreen
I am sorry to hear of your loss, my friend had an eptopic pregnancy and then went on to have a son and she is expecting another one soon.
I am not an expert on this, and it must be small consolation, but an eptopic pregnancy can be life threatening.
May Allah give you sabr.

Re: Ectopic pregnancy

Shahreen

The question was more for Shirin as she knows of this process, which I have never heard of, dunn mean it does not exist, but kinda seems like snakes in ireland ya know
