I am working on my thesis due in what 2 days or something. Anyway, i have a gravity model running on SAPTA, but what i need is a way to quantify the parameters in to actual trade creation and trade diversion. that unfortunately i dont know how to do.
Looking at a paper on the CID website of Harvard, a paper used a esitmated parameter equation to create both actual and predicted results of intra-regional trade from its gravity model. But typical shoddy desi papers, it doesnt provide the model. It just provides the gravity model. So i am stuck.
Anyway any of you economic gurus know how or where i can get the such an equation that will help me calculate predicted and actual trade creation and diversion?
