does eclipses have a negative effect on earth for the time it lasts for?

i dont think so, but not sure.i've heard it does effect eyesight if looked directly.

Well, don't know the exact effect, but let's compare this to lunar and solar cycles. Those 2 have effects on tides and human behaviour. There were some studies which showed that both murders and suicides become higher nearer full moon than not. So on the same hand if one of those heavenly bodies (not talking of bollywood or hollywood actresses here :) ) gets eclipsed there's gotta be some effect. :D
PS: Why did you just ask for negative effect though?

Well it made me wonder because i read that every time an eclipse happen Prophet PBUH used to offer namaz along with his sahabas.It still happens in some countries .We now know the exact reason why eclipse occur but i was wondering does it leave any effects on human?
Are there any probabilities that the alignment of solar system can go wrong?Is it something to fear about?
