I actually just heard today of a website that has free e-books. Havent tried it yet but its called Project Gutenberg, heres the link -

Thay have mostly classics. Love this site for the office. But I dont think you can download anything.
Or atleast I’ve not figured it out.

Use calibre to convert books from any format to any other format.

Here is the link to calibre - it’s a free download. It will manage your e-book library and all books “added” can be converted to other formats.

The FAQs lists the input and output formats supported. Honestly, all it takes is a few clicks of the mouse and maybe a minute or two to convert the books.
