When your’e selling cell phones on ebay, you’ll get alot of lucrative offers of someone in negeria offering you $1000 for the phone with shipping prepaid, dont fall for that… Its a scam, they send payment confirmation through western union or bidpay, but thats the only thing you’ll get… I get like 20 emails every time I sell a phone on ebay, so I thought I’d warn you guys if you are going to go ahead and sell your phone on ebay, make sure its paid through a money order or paypal (confirmed and verified addy), and that you are covered through the seller protection policy.

Re: Ebayers, watch out when selling Cell Phones
A friend who used ebay frequently to sell/buy stuff is now trying to trace a guy who has been purchasing stuff all around the world using his credit card number. Police says they cant help him.
Re: Ebayers, watch out when selling Cell Phones
Those nigeria mails are so goofy. i've always wondered if the broken english in them is used intentionally to sound like an authentic foreigner.
Re: Ebayers, watch out when selling Cell Phones
When buying or selling something on eBay, remember 2 things:
1: Never make a deal OFF the auction, it's against eBay rules and saves you from many scammers.
2: Make sure to checkout the shipping charges. E-mail the seller if you have to know about how much your shipping charges will be.
Re: Ebayers, watch out when selling Cell Phones
spock what do you sell on ebay?
whats ur id?
Re: Ebayers, watch out when selling Cell Phones
Thats how they save money on listing and final sale price. If they mentioned it in the auction, then technically they arent doing anything wrong, just ripping of buyers who dont look at the shipping fee, but some have it unlisted, thats a scam for sure and if its unjustified, ebay will take care of it.
Re: Ebayers, watch out when selling Cell Phones
Everything thats lying around the house and I dont use anymore
Thats what I love about ebay, you can sell just about anything!
Re: Ebayers, watch out when selling Cell Phones
don't worry about Nigeria.. be concerned if the payment method is Western Union. it has got to be the most compromised payment system i the world.. all crooks love it. I just accept PayPal, MO, or wait for the check to clear.. whether cashiers or personal
