I am bidding on a TOM TOM GPS navigation system…but kinda scared cuz this is a new user and he hasnt replied to any of my emails as yet

NO. New users a big risk. Always go with trusted sellers with good overall ratings.

I am regular ebayer and I will avise the same. Stay away from new sellers, there are lots of scammers floating around. Always check the feedbacks people left for the seller and if the bid time is not ending same day, message seller with a simple inquiry and check the tone of the seller.

Buying from new sellers is not a problem as long as you can either pick it up on cash or at least make a phone contact with the seller. But as said above do not trust the new sellers with too much cash involved. You will def. get a deal from the new seller as the others think the same as you.
