I guess it would be best to give up restaurants, just take sandwiches and you are OK.
Dil he, there is a Wal Mart being built near my house, but isnt running yet. I dont like to cook, if I do cook its Pakistani food, as I loveeeee Pakistani food. smile
ravage, I am not into cheese unless I eat pizza, why?
Shirin, yeah, but where do you get processed halal sandwich meat that isnt heavy on the wallet. Someone seriously needs to come up with something like this. grin
So I am reading this other site about what is halal and what isnt, and there are so many things that arent halal, it almost makes your head spin. I just read that ferrero rochet(sp?), isnt halal. I know plenty of guppies that like it (although I dont).
Where do you draw the line? I mean milk, is that not halal if bought from a regular grocery store since it doesnt come from a halal cow? Or do you just consider meat in the equation and since it isnt meat, its supposed to be okay? confused

How come nobody picked up on your point? There are other things bad with the restaurant food other than being haraam. Too much salt, too much saturated fat, too many trans-fats, too much tri-glucerides. I lost a dear friend of mine at the age of 40 due to eating in Indian/paki restaurant three times a day.
Munni as far as I know milk comes from living cows not dead ones so the halaal/haraam factor doesn;t really apply here! How can cow milk ever be haraam? cow milk? ![]()
Femme, I guess cause some people will say that since the meat isnt halal, then neither is the milk that comes from inside that cow. Patha nahin. confused
Munni halaal/haraam comes in to play after a cow has been killed or zibaahofied. When u r eating meet u make sure its halaal. If you have milk its from a living cow. do people ever see a cow in a farm and wonder if its halaal or haraam? Its alive, halaal haraam doesn't apply! I'm surprised anyone would ever consider that buying milk at all!
