Re: eating eggs?
wth! I've never heard that and it makes no sense what so ever. These aunties need to get educated.
eating eggs?
Never heard anything like that before! Google it :)
Re: eating eggs?

Re: eating eggs?
tell them if thats the case with eggs , so is a bigger case with milk .. so they shouldnt be feeding their sons or daughters with either ![]()
Re: eating eggs?
2 eggs a day sounds like a little too much for a 2 yr old. those things are loaded with cholesterol. that said, mine eats one a day, its her fav food. -__-
Re: eating eggs?
But two boiled eggs each day is too much isn’t it - that’s too much cholesterol in her diet?

Re: eating eggs?

Re: eating eggs?
I remember when I visited Pak last time, and my jethani boiled some eggs for her kids & she separated the yellow part and was just giving the white part to her daughter. Because 'apparently' its not good for young girls & has a garam taseer. - Whateverr!
Anyhow, 2eggs does definitely sound too much for a two year old. But there are times when I've also given my two yr old 2 boiled eggs too, because I feel that he's not goin to eat anything else so he might Aswell eat more of this as he enjoys it. I wouldn't give it every single day, I'd introduce something else for breakfast.
Re: eating eggs?
I agree that 2 eggs sounds too much. I believe that 1 egg would be enough and no I don't believe the concept aunty has given you , infact it is very healthy and full of protein hence contributes to one's good health.
My daughter is also very problematic when it comes to food intake but I have worked on her favourite food by trying out different options and you would have to find out too what she likes. You can give her :
a) noodles home made in home with just salt , pepper , oil and chicken stock (plz don't opt for maggi or knorr they are loaded with MSG)
b) bread with butter or nutela (I started giving bread to my daughter with nutela and she loved it and once she got used to bread I replaced nutela with butter)
c) soft chicken yakhni pulao
d) soft kichdi
d) roti
and you can go on and on.
Almost all toddlers and preshoolers give tough time to their mommies when it comes to food so just keep on trying.
Re: eating eggs?
Yes eggs have garam taseer so be careful, i have this problem if i eat more than 1 egg or anything tht has garam taseer then my nose starts bleeding because of garam taseer ![]()

A little bit off topic but it needs to be said:
When it comes to matters like how you raise your children you shouldn't really listen to any Aunties. You speak to 5 Aunties and will hear 8 different opinions. Aik kaan sai sunno, doosre kaan sai nikaal do aur phir common sense use karro.
Re: eating eggs?
this above is a valid point and it doesn’t come from an aunty ![]()
