Apples are discovered to be the latest hero against cholesterol.
Some years back French scientists said that eating two or three apples everyday lowers the blood cholesterol. It is observed that “PECTIN” an apple fibre has lowered cholesterol in animals.
Dr. David Gee, central Washington University gave apple cookies to 26 men (who have high cholesterol i.e. from 200 to 250). Each apple cookie contains 15 grams of fibre that is contained by four or five apples. They took three apples cookies per day. After six weeks, the cholesterol level again checked, and was 7% dipped.
The use of plain is observed to be better than the slush because they contain more fibre. It also has certain other compounds, which help in reducing the blood cholesterol, said the Experts.
