BTW: Personally I find no real benefit in parroting/memorizing the Quran. It is the message in it that counts. If you begin to understand Quranic Arabic, you will remember verses automatically. That is what my personal experience tells me.

well i'm not in the process of memorising the quran, but the parts i do remember r bcoz i would repeatedly listen to them... u pick up the rythem with which the recitors read and that helps me... also, u end up unintentionally picking up the correct tajweed as well :)

i memorized quran 5 years ago(in holland) and since then have been leading taravees prayers in our local mosque......alhamdulillah.:)
