I think a lot of us are short on time and/or ingredients sometime and still wanna make things that are good to eat. So, here people can put a collection of their own recipes that are easy to make and require about 5-7 ingredients ( don’t count salt and pepper as ingredients since everyone has em). I’ll start with an easy one that I got from Sehrysh
Cook chicken breast (or shrimp) - season with paprika, salt, black pepper, italian seasoning (basil, thyme, oregano), garlic. After cooking the chicken or shrimp through. Add butter (about 3-4 tablespoons) and lemon juice (2 teaspoons) - it should be sort of liquidy. Add pasta and toss well. Voila - all done!
Spread tuna mixture on hearty/thick-sliced multi-grain bread, add a thick slice of tomato and top with a slice of provolone or mozzarella cheese - heat under a broiler until cheese is melted and serve as an open-faced sandwich.

People could simply be busy. Maybe they wanted to post and got side tracked by something else. This thread was a clever idea....many of us can use a tried and tested easy recipe. Hopefull it'll pick up.
Okay here's a healthy recipe that I've made. Saw it on a commercial and followed it. It's easy to make and delicious.
Ingredients:
Pepperidge Farm Deli Flats (2 of them are only only 100 calories. You can also get it in other brands)
Low fat ricotta cheese
Mushrooms (I use white mushrooms)
A jar of sun-dried tomatoes
Fresh baby spinach leaves
*Procedure: *
You're going to take about a tablespoon of oil from the jar of sun-dried tomatoes. And you saute the mushrooms in this oil until they release their water....and have browned a bit....about 7-10 minutes. Season the mushrooms with salt and pepper. Do a taste check.
In a food processor...add 2 teaspoons of oil from the sun-dried tomatoes. Add some sun-dried tomatoes.....and pulse until you get a smooth mixture. Add the ricotta cheese (1/2-1 cup)....salt and pepper to taste...and pulse again. Set this mixture aside.
Take out two of the deli flats and spread the ricotta mixture on them. Then add a few baby spinach leaves. Then top each slice off with the mushroom mixture. ***You're basically creating mini pizzas here. Then you bake in the toaster oven for 3-5 minutes. Optional: I added olives on top of my pizza...and I'm sure you can add other veggies as well.

You can buy a deep naan at any grocery store.
Salami/Halal Pepperoni (halal ofcourse)/chicken pieces
Mozerella cheese (or if you prefer anything else)
Any toppings you Prefer
ketchup
Hot sauce
Warm up the naan in a microwave so it is a bit warm (about 1 min). Mix ketchup and hot sauce to make a flavored sauce (I don't like the taste of ketchup but if you prefer it then sure). Spreak the sauce all over the naan. Spread chicken pieces and grated cheese all over the naan. Put it in the toaster oven uncle the base becomes a little crunchy.
This is how I make omelette every Sunday for family. It's very yummy and very easy to cook:
1-2 potatoes thinly sliced
1/2 tsp red chilli powd
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp oil
1/4th tsp white pepper
1/4th tsp white zeera
heat oil in a pan add white zeera then add aloo and all your masalas mix well . Cover the pan and leave it on medium to low flame for 15-20 mins. When potatoes are done turn the flame off.
Now beat 4-5 eggs (as per your requirement) mix 1/4th tsp red chilli pwd and some salt.
Now pour the beaten egg mixture in a frying pan and all add the potatoes you have made and spread nicely. If you want you can 1 or 2 tbsp of grated cheddar cheese and fry the omelette.
Have the omelette with paratha or toasted bread.
the above potatoes recipes can be used with plain nan / roti too.
If you have those packets of frozen carrots and peas you can add a handful of them too . I keep those frozen packets at home and make aloo gajar matar or vegetable fried rice with them in no time.
Mine is ommelete too, i whisk a few eggs, throw in sliced onions, green chillie, cilanto, sprinkle some red chilli and salt, and fry.
Quick, easy and yummy.
Also seviyaan (vermicelli) (i thinks thats how its spelt)

I saw this recipe on Chef Zakir's show. Its called Pan Malai Boti. Doesn't take too much time and turns out very good.
1 chicken breast (cut large cubes)
1/2 cup whipped yogurt
1/2 cup heavy cream or half and half
5 tbps oil
1 tbps ginger garlic paste
Salt
1 tbps Pepper
Heat oil in a small pan, add chicken pieces to it. Add g/g paste. Mix this well until chicken pieces turn white from all sides. Add yogurt and cream. Mix this for a minute and add salt and pepper and leave this on medium heat for yogurt and cream to dry out. Make sure you stir this every now and then so it doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan. Add chopped green chillies and chopped cilantro leaves once the mixture is dry. Stir it all well. Serve with naan.
mix 2 eggs, add salt red chilli 2 splashes of milk
soak 3 slices of bread in there for 5 mins
add a bit of butter in a pan and fry untill golden brown
slice and enjoy with chai
1 (small) can condensed milk
2 eggs lightly beaten
1 stick butter
pinch of zafran in teaspoon of milk (optional)
throw stick of butter in (nonstick) pan, let is melt. add condensed milk and add in eggs. (add zafran+milk now if youre using it) stir quite often to NOT let it brown immediately until the liquid becomes a crumbly solid. once its crumbling together, its up to you how dry or moist you like it. if you like it moist, take it off 2-3 min after it crumbles together, if you like it more dry, keep stirring/mixing it til its to your desired look. cook all of this on med-hi or med-low.
