I cannot make soup, and nor have I ever tried. Hopefully, this should change with a little help from you wonderful guppies.
I am not a big fan of chicken so no chicken soup recipes please. I can tolerate anykind of Veggies apart from Aubergines, so no aubergines please. And yes, I have researched previous threads and they all mentioned chicken which I’v already stated I am allergic to.
Mix veggitables 1 Cup ( I use one of those mix veggi packs and they come with peas, corn, lama beans, carrots, string beans)
Corn 1/2 cup (I like extra corn)
Potato 1 cut into cubes
Green bell peper 1 cut into cubes
Onion 1 sliced
Cabbage 1/4 Chopped finely
Noodles 1/4 of the packet broken into 3-4 pieces (if you are not allergic to eggs then use egg noddles)
Tomato purree/paste 1-2 tbsps
Ginger garlic paste 1/2-1 tbsp (if you don have the paste then use powder 1/2 tsp garlic and 1/4 tsp ginger)
Salt and black peper to taste
Starch as needed
Water 4-5 cups or as needed
(you can also add sliced mashrooms, beans, or anything you like)
(if you have sprouts then you can add them the same time you add cabbage)
(you can omit any of the veggies you don't like in the above list and add any others you like)
Except for cabbage and starch add all the ingredients in a pot and let them cook till potatoes and noodles are tender.
Check the consistency of the soup, if you find it too thin add some starch (1/4 cup of water and 2 tbsp of starch, add the starch water drop by drop and keep stiring it till the soup gets the consistency you like). If you think the soup is too thick add plain water till it gets the consistency you like.
Taste it for salt, add soyasauce, hot sauce, and lemon juice according to your taste.
When you are done with all the checking, add the cabbage, bring it to a boil for 1 min.
yes corn flour, basically in US corn flour means "corn ka atta" and corn starch means "the ahmad type of corn flour which is white because it is starch not flour"..... I hope it makes sense... :)
