Anyway, where were we regarding your signature?

The first part says it all Roman: “it is difficult to say…”

I find Roman's reviews more convincing than late Siskel or was it late Ebert....So I decided to watch East is East this weekend.
I must say it was worth all 5.75 I spent on it. I enjoyed the movie....Om puri was awesome and the rest of the cast did justice to their characters.
I have a question though...Ignoring Om puri's approach towards his family, do u think his teachings were wrong?
ciao
BoSS
Personally, I think in any multi-cultural marriage the household values should reflect best of the two worlds. That includes cultural heritage in terms of customs and language etc, much as religions and moral values.
I don't think there was anything 'wrong' with Om Puri's teachings. You teach your kids what you think is best for them, and you make sure they understand your perspective and are capable of enough to make up their own minds. But you don't impose your singular value set. Let them make their own choices when it comes to the important matters of life.
Easier said than done. And how you are gonna decide what's best? Conflict is also natural. So in my opinion, the whole process starts with you. You need to make yourself capable first before you start with others.
PS. DM, no negotiations?
roman: if u can come up with something better, that goes along with my title…i’ll consider it

Abay I already told you, 'Who came first, egg or chicken?'.
Or forget even about that, how about 'Knowledge is power'?
Roman, allow me to answer that one. We were asked the same question in our first year of Politics at university by our our extremely feminist lecturer. Her answer was “* Well, frankly speaking, I think it’s the cock!” *.

I couldn’t agree more!
See munday, the suggested signature is already provoking womanly interests (intellectual, of course) and wits.
You rooster you.
PS. Don't go near the cats though.

ok munday, it's been two days already. Get rid of it or I'll sue your ass for using my nick in your signature, and Azkar's for providing the cyberspace for doing that. I'm such a suer when it comes to that.
Now, back to egg, chicken, and the cock ...

No Amber I'm only trying to be utterly despicable with the guy to see how long he keeps his cool, or better yet, tells me off.
(I'd add that biggrin smiley too but he already likes it so much so that's out of the way).
