I assure you the most MOST easiest and tasty recipe, believe me, you will go insane after eating it!!

Take fish (boneless is best), drain it v-well, if needed, dry it with newspaper or tissue roll.

Now take a plate, pour 1 tbspn red chilli, 1/2 tspn salt and 1 tspn (not heaped) well-grinded ajwaaen. Now mix it well. No water should be added and it should be a sookha masala. You got it?? just the powder form.

Now slightly coat the fish in masala, (DO NOT OVER-COAT) & keep it aside.

Take deep pan, add oil and heat. Take corn flour at a side, now coat your fish in corn flour (again do not over-coat) and fry it.
Dont fry more than 4-5 minutes!! <-STRICTLY RECOMMENDED

Your fish is ready and its soooooooooooooo YUMMY

It sounds really very easy and with least number of ingredients - one question - deep pan means we should deep fry it?

I prefer catfish fillets to tilapia…must be my Southern roots lol! Nothing beats cornmeal fried catfish!

I made fish today and I took 2 tsp besan and added paanch pooran Masala (dried achari masala) with ajwain and anardaana as well as lemon juice, haldi and chilipowder and salt. I have roughly chopped all the sabot masala in a coffee grinder previously and store it in a airtight container and every time I make fish I just throw a few tsps in it. I pan fried it it in 2 tbsp olive oil and it was delish.

By deep pan I meant a frying pan and not a flat pan. Yes, oil should be good enough to level the fish fillets. Oil should not be above the fillet.

100% agree with this method, only difference is the masala combination and some lemon. I learned this from my MIL. she makes a mix of salt, pepper, red chilli, cumin, a bit coriander seed, all powder forms, she puts a tad bit lemon juice on both sides of fillet, coat rather presses in the masala mix above, then coats/presses in a plate of suji and tawa fry. It is yummy…

Today I tried this recipe and it is turned out to be the perfect recipe to fry the fish. I fried salmon - water free - but I added garlic granules as well.
