General forum is filled with people in panic running amock. If this were a physical forum, people would be running into walls and pillars.

Have one thread that provides information on charity work. LEGITIMATE charity work, please.
Have another thread for people venting out their emotions.
Etc etc.

I know the mods are very busy, but please. When you guys get the time, please do tidy up. And please, administration and mods should not be adding to the chaos. I wont take any names, but seriously.
Both Funguy and Mehnaz have done a wonderful job of keeping threads organised over the last few days. At times like these people want to express their concerns and share news with each other. As a result a number of threads had been opened. However, mods have merged threads where similar ones have opened and have done a commendable job. The criticism is not valid and uncalled for.

No one is stopping anyone from taking an initiative to summarize the long threads with lists of relief agencies and contact info.
would you like to volunteer to put that together? that would be fantastic and much appreciated.
and please bear with the number of threads, many ppl want to discuss many different things adoptions, medical teams, supplies, not all can be conveniently discussed in one thread.. Sorry it is not as sanitized and clean as to your liking but people are trying to do what they can.
I would much rather take the chance of hurting someone’s aesthetic sensitivities than stop needed discussion and sharing of information.
