Earthquake - Personal Stories of Sorrow

Re: Earthquake - Personal Stories of Sorrow

A friend of a friend's only son lived in Margalla towers. They have yet to find him dead or alive.

A friend's SIL lived in Margalla towers but thankfully on the day of the quake she was not in her apt so alhamdulillah she and her family are fine.

Re: Earthquake - Personal Stories of Sorrow

My mamo ji and nana abu live opposite our PM's house in muzaffarabad and they were telling us how they barely managed to escape with minor injuries. My other family memebers in rawalakot, mirpur, panjeri, jandi chontra had a close call but shukar alhamdulilah are fine.

My nana abu was in the bathroom when the earthquake struck and, the ceiling landed on top of him. He said he was bleeding from the head and breathing through a hole for a while and reading all of the kalimaat he could remember at the time until he was rescued.

Only personal tragedy if i can put it this way is our close family friend who lives in Bagh, which was completely flattened and there is no news from him till date.

May allah guide us through this saaniha. Ameen.

Great to here most of your family is ok LUC
My cousins wife is from Muzaffarabad (moved to Abbotabad upon marriage)... After the quake she and my cousin walked to M.abad from the last accesible point on the road. She found out that her entire khandaan except her mother and one sister were killed

Zakk, gotta agree with you, if there is an ouce of justice in Pakistan the govt. will go after people who made building like the Margalla towers that collapsed.
