Around 100 School chidren are trapped and rescue work is continuing…while their loved ones are mourning outside the premise.

Turkey has been hit with earthquake many times before but it seems that everytime they are not so well prepared..:konfused:

what do u think can be done as a precaution for an earthquake...nothing i suppose...they cannot be predicted..

Re: Earthquake hits Turkey..150+ dead

What can they do to prepare for something who’s occurence can’t be predicted?

The could build better buildings, but Turkey is hardly the richest country in the world, they don’t have that kind of money anymore.

:teary3: Our brothers and sisters in Turkey. May Allah help them!

Turkey lives on turbulent part of the region. May Allah swt help them.

This is always terrible, yet it is so constant. I have friends in Turkey and they don’t even think about the quakes, the mentality is almost like California. Problem is, they don’t have infrastructure like California. I know there are already many that work on this problem but it would be nice if the general populace everywhere would keep such things in mind and help the cause not only when these things happen.

Actually I hear they are working on such systems. From what I hear it is not very good right now but work continues…

May God protect all.

So sad!

Very sad, may Allah help them.

Sharabi , mAd_ScIeNtIsT …I meant that some of the buildings were not made up to standard …and before when quakes happened in Turkey…i also heard that there were not up to standard buildings of the structure…I thought like by now they should be doing better to lower the casualties…like stopping those illegal work(those not up to standard)

By the way I am SURPRISED…that guppies replied to this thread…the last time i posted about a earthquake in China …NO ONE replied…gosh…I don’t understand…those who died in China were also majority Muslims.

I thought I would try again and post about the earthquake…hmmmm…interesting responses…:elmo:

Heartbreaking.

Saw the faces of some of the people, parents I guess.

Wrenching and Tragic.

I think earthquakes are scary. I have never really experienced one. Remember a slight rumble as a kid... nothing to worry about. But I do live near a major fault line (so they say) in the U.S.

Experts claim that if a major quake occurs it could change the course of the Mississippi River.

Exactly…and hope is fading for more survivors…:bummer:
