I am not a regular poetess…but this is something from ym heart
I saw a little girl
Sitting on the rubble
It seemed as if
She was in trouble
I had to go near
To make myself clear
I could see her tears
Cheeks, “white” out of fears
Why was she crying
Seemed, she was dying
Wanted to , but couldn’t track
What made her heart crack
I was looking at her face
There was something,
I wanted to trace
Then she opened her lovely eyes
Looked at me With surprise
She had eyes, water filled
At the moment, I was killed
I asked about her mum and dad
She kept looking at me, expressions sad
"Did I ask something bad”
Then
She gave me a smile
But only for a while
She tried to look enchanted
But NO! her looks were haunted
My mum’s inside, offering prayer”
She told me with that hollow stare
"My dad would come and hug me tight
Then we’ll have a pillow fight”
“My siblings are inside, lying asleep”
Her voice was just unfathomable deep
Then
I tried to look around
And you know, what I found?
Rubble of her house was here and there
Mum, dad , siblings were no whereeeeee
