Earth quakes epicenter was about 60 miles from Islamabad in the mountains of Pakistani Azad Kashmir.
This catastrophy resulted in thousands of death…
But as we all know…our biggest rival in the region can’t leave any stone unturned to harm Pakistan.
Some agencies are now raising the concern that as Pakistani Nuclear Station is in the region in Kahuta…it may create danger in the area & it must be taken care of first…
In so much death & Catastrophy who is the one who can be concerned about nuclear plants first??
Re: Earthquake,Death, while some people crying wolf
silly, we have no nuclear plant. We have made it, test fired it, and exported all the centrifuges :halo: they are outdated any way … now we store wheat in kahota :k: for next season
Re: Earthquake,Death, while some people crying wolf
Goliko ji, can you please provide some concrete evidenece(news links, articles etc.) of some countries who are trying to point fingers at Pakistan's Kahuta research center. I'm not able to find any such story anywhere, not yet altleast. Also, Kahuta reserch center is perfectly fine, and has not been damaged by the massive earthquake. Usually the walls of a nuclear reserch center are about 8-12 ft. thick, and is made of solid concrete; Where it becomes almost impossible for a natural disaster of any sort to have any kind of impact on the nuclear facility.
Re: Earthquake,Death, while some people crying wolf
Since there are so many ‘theories & rumours’ in this thread. How about this one…this could very well be the result of the underground nuclear explosions. You disrupt the rock formation underneath the earth and there you have it..an earthquake
Re: Earthquake,Death, while some people crying wolf
Lajawab ji, not being cocky at all. That was one of the reason I said it almost becomes impossible, instead of just saying impossible. As I said before, the designers of nuclear research projects do keep in mind the natural challenges in mind at the time of designing; and thats where they came up with the idea that if the walls of a nuclear plant are about 8-12ft think, it would be safe enough. Ofcourse nothing in this world is 100% safe.
Re: Earthquake,Death, while some people crying wolf
Rumors and bad information are part and parcel of emergencies. Please do not over react until all the facts are known and clarified. by the way, the most massive nuclear leak ever, Chernobyl, actually had far less long term effect than expected. Do not over react.
Re: Earthquake,Death, while some people crying wolf
hahaha, I love the science less knowledge of some. Chyno was AWFUL, forget "bad" and also 12 feet of concrete is still a mediocre storage facility for nuclear radiation. In the event that this so-so bariccade is in some way damaged, start praying
