Havent you seen absolutely courageous efforts by our countrymen in Islamabad, kashmir and elsewhere? Yes we are short on equipment but people are pouring in with any kind of help they could muster and that makes me proud of being a Pakistani. Civilians and non civilians alike are working 24/7 while fasting.

Destinee, according to the reports by ARY, if people are surviving after the earthquake, its because of the efforts that hundreds of volunteers are making to get food and otehr supplies to the victims. No matter how many differences our ppl have amongst them, they do come together in times like these and it should be well appreciated :k:

^^ The spirit here is just amazing. I've tried to organize an effort to raise some funds in my surrounding areas n where I study and most of the doctors I met want to go there in person and help them. The problem is that uptil yesterday the roads were blocked and they couldn't be transported to the areas whee they're much needed and its no use saturating islamabad with docs. I strongly urge you guys too to do something practically. Each n everything is needed here ranging from food, money, medicines, clothing, mattresses/tents and even clothe to be used as 'kafan' :(

Jewish community center and Synagogue raised more than 25000$ here in vancouver within 2 days. We are looking up for more.best regards,

Coastal areas of Karachi, mainly Seaview clifton and Defence felt tremors last nite at 12:30 that measured to 4.2 onthe Richter scale but fortunately were not fatal.
However the whole nation is shaken to the core ast the death toll is rising rapidly.
Areas like Rawla Kot and BalaKot are said ro be 100% wiped out while the death count in Muzaffarabad is 70% of its total population.
In Isl. and the adjoining areas alone the count is around 30,000 people.
Pakistani s showing true humanity now when every citizen is coming forward with whatever they can do, elief funds, donations, volunteers.
But even then thats not enough....
we all need immense prayers from you.

Those who are residing out of Pakistan must act in harmony to the other communities such as Christains - Jews - Hindus - Chinese who are fore coming in their aid efforts and donations.
It should also be a lesson in general to mingle with your local communities in testing times such as this, and share thiers sorrows so they can share yours! Share their happiness, so they can share yours.
This world is a true Global village and few parts of it today are extremly Saddned and need help.

May Allah help us all in all our efforts of finding and relocationg our love ones and fellow
country men.
Lot is being done here too. All avenues of aid and help which ever way humanly possible
are being mobilised internationaly.
The idea was to " Consolidate - MISSING PERSON " information pouring in from various sources and outskirt areas of the affected region. There are approx 600 found children from infant catagory to 4-6 years old, not yet being centralized at one spot (yet) for people to go and find missing persons. Currently they are scattered makeshift hospitals and with various NGO's.
Time window is very limited at a time like this.
We are beyond words and emotional talk now. Time is critical as the rescue and relief efforts, be it nursing the injured or burying the deads plus the provision of vital personal effects to the survivors in harsh weather is of prime priority.
^ U guys on your own can coordinate this vital " Information coordination" here on this thread.
I Pray to Almighty to give patience and some soothing news to those who are still without any news abouts of their loved ones.
