My daughter is 3 and i havnt even got her ears pierced. I am scared. My friend recently got her daughter’s done and told me to get done now as it will be less painful and my SIL agrees, Mum doesnt agree.
I want to get her done but she is not interested. I dont want to put her through pain. is there any pain free method???
At wat age did you guys get your daughter’s ears pierced.

My youngest sister got it done at 3, dad got her an ice cream and all was forgotten. If I ever have a girl I will probably get her ears pierced at 8 or 9 months. It is easier at that age in terms of pain, and them having it healed before they are even conscious of anything happened to them.
The earlier the better I think

my daughter is 2 years 4 months masha allah and till now I have not got her ears pierced. It is not painful that I can say because I got mine done after 20 again. please get it done with a gold or silver ka taar and not by gun it's very dangerous.

The way i look at it is this.... U gotta get your son circumcised cuz of the religion...it hurts like hell but we do it..sooner the better
Same way...a girl gotta weat earrings...so it has to be done...why not sooner rather than later...it hurts way more later on cuz kids arent as careful as grown ups.
My daughter was 2 months ... And in my head thas already late...i had mine done when i was an hour old! Babies just dont kow pain like older kids do... Give them sugar water and u cam take vial after vial of blood from them...
Either get them early ..like max 2 months...cuz a baby isnt that movey and shakey with her hands yet...doesnt even know its ars exist... If not...i would wait until she is older...like 1.5 and up... 3 yrs is good enough!
U can put a numbing agent like a teething gel on her ears?
I didnt do jack. They are so fast..kid doesnt know what happened... I gave her panadol fterwards... Thank god she didnt fuss nor did it keep hurting her.. Ih and heck hers were done with a baali! cried bad..but was ok right after.
Get someone to do it with a gun..and make sure you put in 100% gold studs... No infections then. And u wont havta put her through the ordealof switching from artificial to gold later on....which you do if pierced with artificial studs.
And keep loosewoven fabrics away from her ears..the loop pf the weave can get stuck to the stud ....happened twice to genie..not a happy camper!

Diamond: i find that is is a myth that holds in pak...no one was willing to do it with a gun in pak...and the excuses were ridic... It all boils down to...what the ppl are comfy with...they all do it with a taar cuz thats how its always been done...that or needle...
In arabia...they would think u crazy if u suggested a taar or needle... They use a gun... Cuz unkay haath ko gun lagi hui hai....its just what the person piercing is comfy with.
Certainly nothing dangerous bout it. :)

I got mine done when I was 10 and that when I insisted for getting it done.
I don't think it's fair to get your girls' ears get pierced without their permission. Let her be old enough to make a decision for herself.

Khawa - the issue that I have heard with gun is that they use the same needle on everyone and it's highly not recommended to poke people with same needle . Otherwise I have never witnessed anyone getting their ears pierced may be they change needle every time I don't know . So I think it's better to be safe. Personally I would not opt for a gun for my daughter and would not recommend it too.

I had my 2nd piercing with a gun n larachi...the guy put n a new needle... Aisi waisi jaga na jao na... But to be honest... Given the cheating that goes on in pak..who knows...they xould be repackaged needles?

Just got my daughter's ears pierced. She's 6 and half and has been wanting it for a while. She didn't cry a bit and she said it was just a pinch. We live in the US and got it done through a "gun" at Icing at the mall. I myself got my ears pierced at 10 years old.
