I actually needed help. whenever I fly by air, on landing my ears pain s0 much that I can’t bear its pain anffd start crying u. i’ve a flight in few days. n m scared. does anyone know its prevention and cure> i’ve tried chewing gum and putting cotton in my ears but nothing works for me.plz help.

Yu can buy “earplanes”. They are pressure-regulating earplugs inserted in the ear to help reduce discomfort often associated with air travel. This includes popping of ears, hurting ear drums etc.
My brother has the same problem and he bought a pair and used them and has been hooked on them ever since. They worked wonders for him..You can buy them here: CirrusHealthCare.com - Cirrus Healthcare custom earplugs and foam earplugs
They were around 10$ for a pair and were absolutely worth it for him.

Hi! I can totally relate to this! It's so painful!
I would suggest taking a decongestant 20mins before you're going to take off/land, this helps relieve the pressure in the ears!
I've also tried everything else in the past, chewing gum, drinking water etc, but this is the only thing that works and it was on the GP adn pharmacists recommendation!

hmm ear pain is always terrible. I am also suffering with this pain these days but it's because of flu i guess.
I hope I would also get some benefit from this thread. my mother used to put some oil in my ears now I dont remember whether it works or not.

I have had a terrible experience with this. I flew during a sinus infection episode and ended up with the worst ear infection and middle ear issues that have still not been resolved. I am still being treated by an ENT specialist.
Make sure you have some decongestants, or see your doctor before you fly. Good luck.

ps. goto any library(especially the ones in uniz) n ask them if they have any ear plugs.
