Now I’m not that big of a fan for video/computer games, but I will always find time to play Cricket games.
EA Sports is coming out with their latest cricket game, Cricket 2004, which is to be released on Dec. 11th for Computer and Dec. 7th for Playstation 2.
Some specs on the game:
-All the international teams and players including astonishingly high detail in the players’ faces and bodies, including varied player sizes.
-Full licenses from the ACB, ECB, NZ Cricket and the South African Cricket team.
-75 accurately modeled stadia, including various pitch types and conditions, detailed real time weather effects, and night modes for Day/Night matches.
-All new Motion Capture allowing improved player animations including form and injuries
-Season mode: consisting of tours of different countries, tests, one days, triangular series, World Cup, etc. Includes selection panel, varying of stats for each player after each game.
-Create your own player. Focus on attributes, face, age, agility, strength, height/weight, etc.
-Domestic tournaments: England and Australia. Buy and sell players.
-Injuries, fatigue of players while on tour.
-Batsmen courage, giving young batsmen playing their first games less courage against players like McGrath. Bowlers are unable to bowl yorkers over and over again, giving the batsmen with familiarity of every ball being bowled.
It’s good to know that rain will occur, and DL method will be used. Also pitches will wear and turn, causing the ball to bounce, spin, swing, etc.
Min Requirements:
-P II 500mhz
-64mb Ram
-32mb Video Card
-Win98/Me/XP
Unfortunately there will be no Online play. I heard they focused on graphics, and gameplay more on 2004. The next release will have online because they have fixed many bugs from 2002 to 2004.
