I guess it’s this. Maybe they don’t see you as a real person, but more like an idea of someone they’ll never meet and may have no desire to do so, so they become careless.

True. Most my e-friends have been pretty good, we’ve just drifted apart. That happens. Some of the new ones have really let me down though..
