Dying in Britain

Re: Dying in Britain

May Allah give health and recovery to your mother. however I have to disagree with you that the system is messed up. It is free and gives a very good service. Sure there are delays and frustration but than if a system is free than these things will happen. I have had a very good experience of NHS and cant run them down. Twice I was struck with Kidney stones and I was admitted straight away and treated. About four years ago I had some heart problems and I was admitted straight away and all the tests carried out and was given a clean bill of health. I am diabetic, my medication is free, I get reminders for free annual check up. At the start of winter I get messages for flu jabs and as soon as I hit 60 I was asked to get tested for bowel cancer, which they do to all over 60’s. My father passed away recently and for the last six weeks of his life he was on palliative care at home. The service was first class and made my fathers last days very comfortable. Yes there are frustrations but overall hats off to NHS.*
