Anyone in the UK ever worked for DWP? Ive applied and got the job which starts in a few weeks, so I just wondered if anyone on here had any experience of working there and could maybe give me a few tips on how to fit in and do well. I applied like a whole year ago when I was desp for anything going, and all of a suddden was invited for interview and got the job a few months later . I applied for the AO position.
By DWP do u mean Department of Workers & Pensions ?
Im Sorry Dormant, Yes thats exactly what I meant. So Im thinking by the lack of replies that not many people have worked for them then? or is it because I didnt explain what DWP meant? Oh well never mind.

I was once involved in a project for DWP as a third party contractor but the duration of engagement was very short like 2-weeks or so & also was not directly interacting with the DWP (I was interacting with a DWP vendor that had outsource some part of project to us)..., so cant really give you much feedback. hope you have joined by now, how is it going? i am asking as i was thinking to apply for some roles there. just wanted to know how is the environment being a govt department? and how was the selection procedure?
