Friends: I have a Dish Network DVR and was wondering if there was a way to record programs from there to my laptop? What software do I need to such a thing?

you need an external tv card , or external satellite card (if such thing existed??? :D )
The software bundled with tv cards is enough to record :D But trust me the result is horrible :D
Best would be to buy yourself a powerfull desktop with an internal satellite card (which does exist) :D

so the laptop would become the receiver? How do most people capture clips and share with you all?
