After reading all the comments on this board about teh film American Desi I have decided to watch it myself. Trouble is I can’t get hold of a copy anywhere.

Does anyone know of a site that I can buy if from online, preferably om DVD (region 2)?

There are many sources. Do a yahoo search on that, you'll see many results. I'm sure you can get a copy off eBay as well.

TuXeDoMaSk, there are no desi stores near me....thats why I need to buy it online.

I also have tried to purchase it- but have had no success. Netflix has it for rental. Signup for their service and terminate after a month.

American Desi is prolly the worst attempt at South Asian comedy I have seen. If you really wanna watch movies of this genre, try 'East is East' with Om Puri.. Its prolly one of the best...

Got a better method. Find a guppy with Netflix. Tell him/her to rent American Desi for you. The guppy then reports it missing in the mail, and Netflix sends them a replacement. Netflix thinks the guppy only has 1 copy-but infact he/she has two. They send you one, and return the replacement. It works, but you shouldnt try it too often - they get suspicious. You should also remember which dvd you reported missing. If you return the wrong one - it will give away the plan.
