Salam!
Question for those of you living abroad and who have homes in Pakistan.
What do you do to reduce the amount of dust in the house when you visit after a long time? 1-2 years.
Re: Dust in Pakistan
read “physics for desert dune and blown away sand”
I remember I had issue with nose and throat all the time… so I started doing “garrarra”
every time I came back from out side… then I never had those issues.
Sorry no more info..
Re: Dust in Pakistan
Find someone to do the cleaning dusting few days in advance before arriving …
Re: Dust in Pakistan
My mum has the house cleaned once a week when she is not there. She only stays for a month or two each year, so house is empty most of the time.
Re: Dust in Pakistan
What is “garrarra”?
Did you realize if you had thrown in an extra a, there would be symmetry between number of r’s and a’s?
You are too kind to issue an apology. Contingent upon a suitable reply, apology may be withdrawn.
PS : Is it OK I quoted you?
PS1: If it is not, happy to remove quote
PS2. Sorry no more PS’s
Re: Dust in Pakistan
Southie garrara is rinse not mouth but throat. Put water in look at the sky then let air out in the water.. so water bubbles on your throat and wash it..
like aaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA khaaaaaaaaa aaaaKHAAAAA like that.
Quote is ok, when its not I always mention.
I am kind of fascinated how little particles of dust travel through the air. ![]()
Re: Dust in Pakistan
Does anyone know why there is more dust issue in Indo pak as opposed to west? The furniture etc get more dusty there normalized wrt time.
Re: Dust in Pakistan
Not as much rain to pack down the dirt, less paved areas, poor insulation of houses (deliberate too because of the heat).
And only dirt buster is a thorough and efficient maid before you step in. Jharoo, taaki and dusting. Might take a couple of days to completely clean up.
Re: Dust in Pakistan
Didn’t think of 1st para. Makes sense
Re: Dust in Pakistan
I was thinking of getting a pack of vaccum bags to put clothes in..
