I’m totally anari when it comes to it. And I would look it up, but I also wanna know how desis cope with it.
So how many of you have it? Are you more allergic to dust or the the dust-mite bit? Besides taking Allegra and any other special nasal sprays, are you taking anything else? Or nothing at all?
Also do you have special bed sheets and pillows and what not? Special tools for cleaning and dusting? Like a special duster or vacuum cleaner or something like that?
u can buy special covers that go under th sheets and under pillow cases but they are pretty useless, best thing is to make sure u hoover all the time including bed mattresses and under the bed also change bed linen regularly
dust covers are helpful but get good ones not some run of the mill types, u can find more info on website of the allergy foundation or what its called.
vaccuming bed, changing sheets often, etc is critical, have air cleaners to reduce the amount of dust overall.
yeah we have pretty strong allergies against dust in our family. reactin works well, same with zyrtec. it's important to take nasal spray to prevent allergies, over time they build up ur immunity against allergies.. i use rhinocort nasal spray.. and getting ur ducts cleaned out professionally atleast once or twice a year. errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr hmm o yeah filters like in ur airducts those thingees need to be changed often too. vaccuming is pretty important
micro fiber bed sheets and sofa covers filter out dust and dust mites.
any good home store (ikea, macys*s, linen n things) will have them.
cotton bed sheets are also very good in holding off dust.
I dont wanna sound idiot but the best solution for allergy is to get rid of things which can trigger it n to keep anti alergic medicine in ur pocket 24/7.
I have dust allergy n i always covered my nose when there is dust around. In diseases like allergy which r not curable precaution is the best medicine.
Dear Sir,
The best thing is two avoid the dust and/or dusty surroundings. Regular cleansing of nose, covering of nose etc are also good practices. Otherwise, anti allergics are very helpful. Some are short acting and some are long acting. By short acting we mean that the duration of action is short and it has to be taken thrice or twice every day. Long acting anti allergics have a longer duration of action and are used only once a day. Some anti allergics can cause drowsiness, some can lead to dryness of mouth, some can lead to increase in apetite. Different patients have different responses to them. In such cases I would recommend that you please consult your family doctor. By the way, my practice is to prscribe long acting, non sedating anti-allergics. You may give a try to 10 mg Tablet of Loratidine, once in a day.
Anyway, get well soon.
Rgards.
*Khumahar all i can say is precautuion with anti allergy medicine. There is no way back once the allergy is triggered.U can take all precautions in ur home n at ur place of work or study but out door sometime its impossible in some areas to save ur self .

Dear Zgard
First and foremost is that one should always consult his/her doctor for proper treatment and medication. So I would advise that you should consult your personal physician regarding your own case.
BTW, Loratidine can be given to children and is avaialble in Syrup and Suspension form (Allerfree, Allerwood, Antial, Clarix, Lorel etc etc)
Moreover, it is safe in people with previous liver disease.
