The fact that you see stuff when this happens is because of REM, and the fact that you might be partially dreaming while part of you is conscious.

m also of a victim of this thing for last 2 years and i know how hard this thing can get or how much it sucks.

^^ If you read my post carefully, I already said I am not convinced that it is black magic. After reading the articles on web I know its a medical condition. Reason for my posting was to find out causes of this and learn from other prople's experiences. Thanks.

i used to and still do get really scared becos it really feels like something is pressing hard on my chest/ throat... once i managed to turn onto my side and remember feeling the same force pushing my back, its so scary cos i wake up shaking!
black magic/jadoo isnt mumbo jumbo or crap etc, its actually quite real and happens.
However, i agree this is Sleep Paralysis, i studied it for a-level pyschology. you should see a dr for advice on how to deal with it.
Theres also a thing where people wake up and their body is still asleep, so they cant move, but they ALSO are dreaming at the same time as this, usually a nightmare if i remember rightly. We watched a video where a lady described waking and not being able to move and hearing slow footsteps approaching her bedroom, another guy said he woke and couldnt move and felt someone pulling the end of his bedspread....that vid freaked me out lol.

You are right, its very very frightening. Specially if you dont know the reasons why this is happening. When this happened last week, after the episode, I ran from my room to my mom's, told her I can't sleep in my room because of this. Next 2 nights I slept in spare room we have for guests. When happened again this morning, it was just before the time I get up for work. Once ended, I got out of bed, in wash room while having shower, I was still freaked and felt like someone is staring at me. Don't know how I made my breakfast. only felt better once I was out of the house on the way to work.
Now I know the reasons behind this, hopefully next time it will be not this much scary...too be honest dont know cos if in that situation again, I dont think I will still be able to think anything else apart from being freaked out.

When it first happened to me it was a little freaky, I read up on it, the next time it happened I remember just laying there going "wow, this is so weird". I find it fascinating.
Get some help from a sleep specialist or if you believe the jinn rape thing, you're outta luck

Hope you saw a doctor ASAP. Could be a silent heart attack. It can be deadly even in young people. Don't delay get a checkup.

stop sleeping on ur back, always sleep on ur side to prevent this thing. and keep ur hands away from ur heart.
and try to have a longer sleep. if u sleep at 3 in the morning and get worried that u have to wake up at 5 iin the morning (thats wat i always do) it can also be contributer to sleep paralysis.

Just to update you guys, last night was very restless. I didn't have usual peacefull sleep. I was very much alert while sleeping just to avoid the whole thing again. Been waking up almost every hour to make sure everything is fine and I am sleeping on my sides. I hope this will get out of my mind soon and I will be back to normal sleep.

aw i used to stress about it aswell which would result in broken sleep.. try not to stress about it & it may sound silly but try to tire urself out during the day so wen u do go to bed u knock out!
Isn't the whole "waking up feeling someone is pressing you on the bed" supposed to be a jinn thing?
I would suspect that you just have have a jinn issue rather than a black magic problem.
