i think the setting of the dupatta style depends on the kaam on the dupatta but wutever looks nice anyways

not a fan of the ghongaat style (the one where the dupatta draps over your face on the wedding day) but I have seen many brides do the ghongaat style for mehndis and mayouns

Nope! Dupatta on the head makes you look like a bride! i think it just completes the look!!!

Would anyone know how to pin it yourself?
I will be getting my makeup done but hair and dupatta I have to do myself so does anyone know how to pin it?
