Re: dupatta or no dupatta?
It’s definitely not a religious issue.. more a question of personal taste..
Nowhere in the Qur’an does it say an actual dupatta is needed.. If it did other practising Muslims wouldn’t be wearing shorter scarves fastened at the neck as they do in a lot of societies..
From a religious perspective as long as the chest is properly covered there’s no need for a dupatta as well..
