For my mehndi, I created a poof on my head, side part and put a paranda in. My dupatta was pinned a bit towards the back and it rocked!!!

I went to pakistan for my cousins wedding and at his mehandi his Dupatta enterance was made out of roses or whatever red flower that is common. the sheet (it wasnt really a sheet it was strings but it was really strong and held together like a sheet, if i find a pic i will post it)was filled completely with the flowers and when he reached his chair the sheet was shaked over his head and all the flowers fell. I dont know if thats still in style. For the girl they used the common dupatta.

WOW! that sounds wonderful! They should have done the same with the bride, too, prehaps with yellow flowers for contrast. Please do share a pic if you find it. :)

I know i have it on video..lol...not too sure about photo.....
i've never seen it done for the bride....maybe i'll have it for my wedding...but my mom wants to use a Doli, so not sure how that works...I think im carried directly to the stage? I didnt see that at the pakistani wedding i went to...and all the ones i've been to overseas didnt use a doli.
Hey guys.. ok so im looking for creative ideas to make my own dupatta that is held over my head for the mehndi entrance... i love how in pakistan, they can make that dupatta out of flowers but here in the U.S. that can get pricey! I want something cute and creative...
does anyone have any pics of different ideas for the mehndi dupatta that is held over the bride's head? Someone mentioned in another thread where they saw one where they used strings of beads to create a chandelier effect.. i would LOVE if anyone has any pics of that? I'm planning on having 4 sticks/poles on the corners so pple can hold it up and ill decorate the sticks.. but i do love the idea of having something hanging from the dupatta to make it look different... PLEASE provide pics if u can!! i would greatly appreciate it.. thanks! xoxo
have bangles and roses hanging down from the dupatta so when dey hold it over u the flowers and bangles with ddrape down.
